Hello ! my yard owner has asked me to start wearing spurs for a couple of the horses , I have been borrowing the managers spurs for a couple of weeks now and that’s all well and good but since I ride these horses multiple times a week i don’t want to become annoying constantly asking her for her spurs so I’m thinking of investing in a pair . I really like her spurs but she said they are more on the expensive side and as an (currently) jobless teenager I really don’t have a ton to spend on spurs so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a (somewhat) affordable option , below I have put a picture of similar spurs to what my manager . Thanks for your help ! IMG_8091.jpeg

I'd just go for a standard pair of blunt end spurs. Shires do a cheap pair and their stuff is generally decent.

If you like the rowel design for a particular reason, there are cheaper versions available.

Have a look on eBay. You may find some used Sprenger spurs on there, or Facebook marketplace. I found a Sprenger German silver pair for sale online at £40 which should have been about £140.

Sprenger are better than anything else I have found, they just seem to sit more comfortably and don’t dig into the side of your foot.
