tips wanted please! i've never sold a horse before and just want to know how to do it. i hate people watching me ride and it makes me nervous. madam pony will definitely pick up on it and play to it knowing her!
being honest is number one priority as she's not a straightforward pony........

Hi there,
I'm currently buying and selling at the moment and have viewed probably a dozen horses as well as my horse being on trial with one rider. The most important thing is not to take anything personally. There are so many variables, like how the mare goes on the day, the level of ability of the viewer etc. My horse dumped his new rider at a fence, needless to say he's back in the field! I know that a vendor wants to sell but honesty really is the best policy to avoid wasting your own time as well as the viewers. Don't point out any negatives/quirks that are not relevant and keep in mind that you may have quite a few to get through before you find the right person! Best of luck.

Be honest, be charming- be yourself! If you hate showing off horses then tell them so, they are only human so they will understand!!

If you are genuinely nervous about it then try looking at it from the reverse point of you and 'interview' them to see if they are good enough for your mare

Just remember that they are proberbly nervous about coming to see your horse. Just be honest point out all the good points ask them what they want to do e.g whether they want you to ride in school first og hack out etc i have had to do this about 10 times and i hate it.
Good luck

Hiya!
Good luck with the viewing!
When I was looking I liked to see the whole hog, I wanted to see the pony caught, groomed, tacked up, ridden and fed if poss. But maybe for a first viewing just ride and then if they like her they can come back to see the other stuff!
Would you consider full loan?
Have you got a sand school that they can ride in?
