Energiser from B&Q, cut off straps and fix to bridle with small thin cable ties

Had a practice tonight when turning my horse out in the dark, held my iPhone/itorch on her head to see what she thought

The light along that stretch varies depending on the moon, when no moon at all it really can be almost that dark, when the moon is totally full and a clear sky you can actually get a canter.

I was out for about 1.5 hours on my regular route which encompass's the steps and bridge shown on my other vids and the streets where I live

Did it take much to get the horse used to the light? I was googling night vision goggles last night in a bid to carry on riding in the week! I had been working on the idea that the horse can see in the dark but I can't. Does the light on the bridle work better than on your riding hat? I used to ride round the housing estates in the dark with all my hi-viz and numerous lights on but now I am in the middle of nowhere with just pitch black fields to ride around I am very frustrated!!

No, he was absolutlay fine from day one, done it with a couple of friends horses in the past and they were fine with it as well, obviously like anything with horses never take it for granted and do it bit at a time to start with.

I like it on his head so if I did come off he can be seen, I can be seen as my tabbard has red flashing lights, plus on his head it lights up where he is looking

ooh i ride in the dark but dont use lights - i dont like how they limit your field of vision - i can see a lot further if i let my eyes adjust to the dark!

I find it bad enough riding in daylight sometimes never mind pitch black.
