Cantered along the river to a full moon with his new headlight on and my flashing top :), all good till he spooked at the cows in the field to the side of us :p, other than that he was good as gold, clever ginger sausage:D

I think we need pictures of this get up! (apologies if you have already done this and I've missed it)

Sounds like a really nice ride though! :D

Ooooooohhhhh!!! Moonlight rides already!!! It is magnificent isn't it??? No clouds here in Bath and I could see what I was doing til about 8 o'clock... (hipflask masked my vision after that...)

Yea will try and sort some pics, his new light is smaller than other years, £7.78 from B&Q, might try the fancy £16.00 jobbee and blind everyone coming towards us :D

I could not be more impressed!! I don't think I would canter down a river bank in the daylight, flashing or not:)

I cannot imagine for the life of me, what somebody coming towards you would think was coming towards them!!

This what we have used in previous years..

Nice siggy, mine never asks me "and how does that make you feel" ;)

Awww really? I just got back from a conference at work, have been away for 2 days. I said a quick hi and bye to my OH and fled to the stables at 9.15 this evening to see my young man ;) I was greated with 'where the frigg have you been...you left me with that stupid pathetic boyfriend of yours!!' and after that I got a cuddle :D Arnie is broken, he'll never really be more than a novice horse without extensive vet care but his personality exceeds my need to compete.

Wow its amazing you have a horse you trust that much!! My boy would drop down dead from a heart attack if I tried to attach a light to his bridle and go out in the dark..... But I used to go out on my old cob all the time in the pitch black darkness through the woods and go for a good gallop using my phone flash as a light :p..... needless to say it would only be because the woods were the only way home and I had been caught out by the darkness after staying too long on my friends yard at the bottom of the valley, the gallop was simply because i was wetting myself being a 15/16 year old girl alone in the woods whilst dark so wanted to get home asap!! Ahhh how I miss those days

Love riding in the dark! Have always done it! Lucky enough to be on off road bridleways and farm tracks!

Love the 'head light' idea!

Oh Wow, lovin the headtorch. You've also inspired me to try it one day, only have to literally cross over the road to get a field with bridle path round the edge, so no reason why I couldn't really.

Oh and my mum recently bought me some flashing LED reflective bands from aldi, put them round my hat and they're excellent! and cheap too! :)
