So, although I've managed to bore the pants of everyone with Blitz being ridden by my instructor, I have - at last- got the first photos of me on him

He's looking a bit different (shape wise!) to my very first sit...

He is a cheval de Mérens, and though not officially "overheight" he is rather larger than the usual for the breed.

I'm so used to riding ponies, that I'm finding myself quite out of my depth, so it's taking me a long time to get my confidence with him. I find it odd that I can zoom around on my mare (who is also a Mérens), and yet I have to dig deep for confidence to do anything with him :/ Anyway, I'll get there in the end. We managed some passable shoulder in and leg yielding in trot, after a good warm up of spirals and figures of 8.
