I have such a huge smile on my face!

I think it must only have been 6 or 7 weeks ago since the vets thought he had fractured a bone in his knee- it thankfully turned out to be damage to the bone rather than a fracture (very odd, looked like a little 3 pronged crown of bone sticking up from the bone surface on the x-ray- he must have given it one hell of a bash!).

His recovery has been absolutely brilliant, he has been the perfect patient, coped with box rest and walking in hand without putting a single foot wrong.

Given that I am pregnant and have a little bump now a friend had hold of him while I got on (better safe than sorry- the one time you take your lazy horse for granted will be the one time he scoots off won't it!)... we needn't have bothered as he plodded off cool as a cucumber.

Never thought I'd ever enjoy a 15 min plod about the school so much lol!

I really didn't think I'd get the opportunity to ride again before I get too big but it looks as though I might get a few more weeks to just do some gentle schooling in the indoor.

Really happy and feel so lucky to have such a sweet, gentle and special horse

What are you planning to do with him, when you get bigger?

I think I'll just turn him away. Friends might hop on and give him ticking over now and then but I've decided I don't really want anyone I don't know riding him. I'm sure he will relish a summer of chill out time with his friends in the field

That is brilliant, and I am so pleased to see this. He really is special, isn't he, and I trust that this is an end to his misfortunes. Enjoy the riding time you have left, and then you can look forward to getting back on board again after the summer. You have so much to look forward to next year!
