So the weather was lovely today and the show went ahead.

He loaded ok to go there although wanted to stop and smell the hire trailer. Got there very early because I am neurotic. He was in for the in hand and then ridden shows but thanks to overlapping that wasn't our fault we only ended up doing the inhand.

He got 6th out of 9! I know it's not really brilliant but for it being his first ever show and my first ever show and our first competition away from home I*don't think that is bad. He was pretty well behaved other than for getting his bridle on.

We saw people we knew too even saw someone who knew my boy before I got him. She was gobsmacked at his change said he looks bigger, in better condition and happier and quieter. Made me feel good that I have done well with him.

He didn't load well to go home though. I put that down to he has never had to go into a trailer twice in one day so was confused.

But overall very pleased with him. He even got his lick tonight.

Will post pics later. :) gonna have dinner then fall asleep.

Well done, glad you enjoyed yourselves. I think sometimes they just get a bit het up and silly when it comes to loading for home.

Thanks everyone it was a brilliant day. Wanting to go to another show. :)

Yeah probably was that. I got terrified at one moment when I saw a woman approach as if she wanted to help load him and after hearing horror stories on here i thought she would be one of those that would chase him on. Thankfully she left quickly.

I did get my first glimpse at how seriously some people take shows though. Heard one woman arguing with another over something and then she went "well we might as well pack up and go home then". Surely nothing can be that bad?
