First show in years... help!

Well this Sunday is the first show at my local riding club and the owner of the horse I share is keen I take her. I haven't been to a show since my teens... which is well over a decade ago. I'm just wondering if things have changed and if there's any rules about wearing back protectors etc.

I'm planning to do some very small jumps as I don't think the horse has ever show jumped, but she does happily pop over a fence. When we've had time to practice we might do some dressage.
