so despite being terrified, i have somehow been talked into going to our local show tomorrow. only doing the 2ft class, as else i think i would literally fall off in terror. some people at my yard think i'm completely wasting my horse, but i just can't bring myself to do any bigger! here is a pic from my jumping lesson last night - any CC welcome, but please be nice :o

:) Horse riding should be fun, just do what you feel happy doing and enjoy it, don't let people bully and put presure on you, ;)

Personally I think its good to push yourself and keep improving, but it should always be your decision not your friends!
Don't worry about what anyone else thinks, just go to the show and enjoy it...I'm sure once you've done one you'll be back into the swing of things and love it!
Best of luck, I'm sure you'll be great :)

I can sympathise..... I too am off to a local show tomorrow, with my young mare, who to my knowledge, has never been to a show before! And I'm not a confident rider, a total wuss!
Let us know how you get on, but I'm sure you'll be fine! I can't cc, as I really know nothing about jumping, but your horse looks lovely. Good luck!

Hope you have lots of fun. I have to say I find it most ridiculous that people should comment and say your wasting your horse. I am sure you and your horse are quite happy together. I find as I get older I really care less and less for other people's narrow mindedness! Good luck for tomorrow

Hey don't be nervous! I will look out for you tomo...you said to look for the OH & buggy following!

My friends Gelding is a Palomino boy...chunky WelshxArab.

Good luck and do not be nervous..no need it is meant to be fun!

Seems like you are really in the same boat as me :P I'll only be doing the 2ft and 2ft 3 classes (Though, I have seen Ned fly around a 3ft class no problem!)
I wish I was braver to take him around the bigger classes...but I just can't!

Wishing you good luck! Your horse looks lovely :D
