First Show on Young Horse

Hi, I know I have posted about this before, but Sunday is finally approaching and I have my first show with my youngster... He is entered in Ridden Hunter, he is at least 17hh, IDxTB and 6 years old. I am dreading it, but have to get him out before the County show in June, and my riding for that is judging on Sunday so I have to get on board myself! I would appreciate any tips for keeping calm as I know my nerves have a direct effect on my boy! My biggest fear is him bucking me off...

good luck get him ther in loads of time early i find best and let the show build up around him so he dosent arrive on a very busy show field get him out and keep him busy

Thanks for all your advice! I spent the whole of Saturday schooling, grooming and plaiting, then forgot my show jacket and stock! Never the less, we had a lunge, then ride round all the show ground including the practice ring, very pleased with that if nothing else!
