First SJ competition

Hi all! I'm just wondering about when people thought/know they were ready for a first unaffiliated SJ competion. I've been re training my ex racer mare for about 9 months and we've been to a couple at home 50cm ones which went questionable about 6 months ago. She's improved so much since then however still runs out at the shoulder occasionally when I don't ride her correctly/give a bad line however this doesn't happen all the time so u feel like I'm over thinking it. I've entered us for a combined training Sunday, as we've already done some dressage shows. Just wondering how people knew they were ready if if there is even a ready haha x

Just go and have fun!! After your first go you will know what to work on. It's totally different jumping at home to an away arena. Good luck and report back!!

If your horse is fit and sound and you are fit and sound, go have some fun!! Keep the height well within your confidence range and just enjoy!
