First Solo Hack on new horse...

I know this has been done to death but I hacked out on my new horse today, alone, for the first time and it was totally awesome :)
I brought him nearly two months ago and he has been nothing but joy and I feel so humble that I ... me .. actually own this amazing animal :o

We only went out for half hour on a route he knows but he was ears forward the whole way, striding out and if anything he was calmer than when in company! I'm just buzzing with confidence and drive to do the best by him so I'm quickly going from 'happy hacker' having got back into riding for the last nearly two years after a 20 year break :eek: to wanting to do dressage, showing and some jumping :D

Nearly two months ago when he arrived ....


After a long hack Friday just gone .....

And just a body shot to show how good he is looking for those that have seen my previous posts about his weight gain ....

Thank you, he is so gentle and friendly. He loves a fuss :)
He looks so glum in that pic of the head collar round his neck, lol .. He had just been untacked and was having a big sigh :o

Thank you. I know people have issues and lord knows ive had plenty getting to this stage but now I have Giz I just cant imagine ever having another horse :)
He is only seven, I'm 34 so we have a long time to do lots of fun things together and keep each other challenged :)
