Okay, planned my first time out hunting on new years day with ellie i am VERY excited b ut VERY nervous sooo i thought id ask a few people on here who really now what im asking!!
okay

- stock- my friend who i am goin with has bought me one for my birthday which is not till the 9th do i have to wear a stock - or is it the thing to do. Also what EXACTLY should i wear, my friend who goes alot told me- hacking jacket, canary jods, boots and gaitors, stock and stock shirt, gloves. This oay??

Jumps- i know i dont have to do all of them but i am worried about her precious little legs any advice- what are not the best things to jump. also boots??

her fitness- she is what i would term as fit but am incresingly worried that she is not "hunting fit" il post pic of her condition now. What would you say she will need to do in order to not drop dead on me?

sorry about this just want to make sure the experience will make me want to go hunting again, also got a very cautious YO who always goes on about how hunting is dangerous and how fast they always go blahblah blah,(she has never been hunting, never done any xc or sj - hates anything to do with jumping basically!)

Sorry its soooo long but would REALLY appreciate help and im sure you are all sick of the samew questions but please help me :D
Thanks :D

hi you mention that you are wearing a hacking jacket, and boots and gaiters, from this i am assuming you are in pony club?? if so you dont wear a stock , but pony club tie. if you are not a junior, then really, it should be a black jacket and stock. most hunts a sympathetic to first timers and as long as you are neat, they will inform you of their own dress code.
plait up!

fitness- you don't have to stay out all day, if you fell your horse is flagging, there is usually someone who can get you back to your box. hunting is a good way of improving fitness, as long as you don't overdo your first outing and go regular.

are you drag or fox hunting?
