After taking the plunge and getting a horsebox we are planning our first outing.
We have found a show very local to us and have decided to enter my daughter in best rider 12 years and under and handsomest gelding.
Can someone enlighten me on what she needs to wear. Is it navy or tweed? and does the pony need plaiting or not. He's a Welsh Section A.
Many thanks in advance.

section a ponies are classed as natives and therefore should really be un-plaited.
The best rider under 12yrs - sounds to me like an equitation class and will be judged more on the rider and how the pony responds to the rider, so i would think plaited or not does not matter and will not loose marks.
Most Hansome gelding sounds more like a novelty class - so i would imagine same rules apply.
Personally if it was me i would show in natural state.
On that note Good luck and have a great day and make sure you post lots of pics :O)

Ah, thank you so much. Thats what I thought but being a complete showing novice I doubted myself.
Fingers crossed they just enjoy their first outing :)
