Slightly pointless post but am v.proud of my old boy and just wanted to share!
Haven't ridden him in just over 8 months for various reasons but decided that as I have a week or so off work I would do something with him if weather was ok (ha!). Well it wasn't too bad this afternoon so I went and got him all sorted and took him in the school. Did 10 mins of very quiet lunging- mainly walk with a few walk-trot transitions and then got on for 10 mins (just walking). He was as good as gold- couldn't believe it! By the time I got on, it was blowing a gale and wet (typical) so I expected him to be a bit spooky (he is at the best of times, never mind after an 8 month break!). Hoping to repeat tomorrow if weather isn't wild!
At 21 perhaps he's finally acting his age and not his shoe size! LOL!
