Hello.
As some may know Lilly got joint sepsis on her knee from the tiniest ever puncture wound back in the new year. They operated on her at Liphook and saved her. She recovered well, did 6 weeks of stable rest and then a month in the field rest (it was meant to be 6 weeks but she was being such a gallopy hooligan that the vet said to get on a ride her in walk)
Was going very bouncilly!! Vet said probably best to do 5 mins trot to settle her down as of this week which was going well. I think the problem was that 2 days after the surgery she was sound and thought she was A ok and so is getting annoyed that were not doing anything!!
Then on Monday morning Lilly was doing her normal self exercise so I thought Id video it for the vet to see what sort of field rest she was on!!

Lovely and quiet!! He called today and said probably best to crack on a little bit more to try and shorten the amount of time she spends doing that!!
So today we had a little school (in my new birthday subtle eurostar matchy set and my super posh patent bridle and loads sparkly browband!!) There arnt many pics as she only did 5 mins in trot!
And her loads posh patent bridle, the camera cant capture the sparklyness of it but I love it!!
She only did about 5 mins of trotting but it was so lovely, I know she has lost alot of muscle from not working but it will be back and its a special day when you get to have a little school on your pony that the vet said we might loose a few months ago.
Its funny we were laughing at how far she has come from her just out of racing days!! Her new bridle cost over half of what she cost me a few years ago!!!!
Meanwhile my spottie Dottie (who is almost 4) has been having fun...
Learning to walk over poles
Having her first go with some matchy
and being naughty in the field!!
And my wish upon a star baby who will be 2 in July has gone from this...
To this...
As she did look like a skanky yak!!
She has been mostly
But did go and have her first look in the school and was super brave and even managed...
But mostly just helping!! Lills face sums up living with 2 babies!!
So will probably be another 6 weeks before Lilly can go dressaging and start jumping again. Dottie is going to do another week or 2 of work and then go on holiday again until she is properly 4 (in July) and the baby might go see the big wide world at some baby shows.
