I've just noticed my boy has his first wobbly. He will be 3 in May, so not sure if hes the right age?

he was being a bit mouthy earlier when I noticed, he was doing his usual laughing in my face thing and I notice the top of the tooth look cracked, so I touched it and it moved right back, but looked as though some of the root was still attached! So I'm wondering if he's knock it on something and broken it, or if he is at the right age if its just cracked where its looser on one side?

Perfectly normal by the sound of things. My boy is now turning 4 in May and we have had a year of many changes in his mouth. This started this time last year with him losing his back molars.
Now this week he had had his wolf teeth removed and has a lot of activity with his tushes about to erupt through.
The vet has checked him every so often and the equine dentist but so far they haven't touched them, except his wolf teeth removal.

oh cool thank you, was a bit worried as my friends horse lost the same tooth at 4, so thought he might have knocked it!

I did notice earlier on he was rubbing his cheeks on the side of the wheel barrow and seemed to like being stroked in the same place! so maybe those teeth are getting loose too! I did get a 6 month reminder from the vets in the week, so might get them to pop out and check its all normal!

I also have a youngster who will be 3 in may. She has already lost one of her front teeth and the other as you describe, loose but not quite ready to come away yet. The one she has lost has a lovely new one in its place.
