Hi everyone

Just curious really but wondered what other exercise besides riding everyone does? How do you think it affects your riding?

Am starting running (road running this time rather than treadmill) and I'm not sure where/how exactly to start...I also wondered if pilates or yoga would help my riding?

I'm sorry if this has been done before...

If you go to the race for life website (google it) they have a programme on there aimed at getting people who haven't run before to get up to 5k in about 8 weeks.

I run and used to do pilates, which helped my position no end but since changing my job I haven't found a class in the area that I can get to very easily. I bought a dvd but the dog tries to join in and it all goes belly up (literally!)

I do kick boxing and a bit of gymnastics (mainly because I started this at a young age!) kick boxing is really good at keeping you fit.. and useful if you get into trouble

and gymnastics keeps me flexible, always good after being throw off

.. i also do netball and hockey due to PE at school

Thanks guys - I'm struggling to find a pilates class that I can get to too annagain!
VioletStripe - I used to do kick boxing & loved every minute of it - I was somewhat of a natural at it, I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing!!!!!!
