Due to the recent weather/lack of facilities/pregnancy, my boy has not been properly excersised. He was last lunged around 3 weeks ago and up till then was mainly in light work.
He has had plenty of daily turnout on a large hilly field, but just nothing in the way of riddden/groundwork and has lost muscle tone, particularly top line.
Next month I will be moving him to part livery where I will have the use of indoor school ect, so then I hope to start getting him back into work, and riding again once baby has arrived.
Now how is the best way to go about it? He is a rising 8 year old tb, and my main concern is that he has OCD in his stifles. (had bone chip op when younger) He does not appear to be stiff/lame in the field at all, he has always been sound.
How would you go about planning his building up routine? What are the things that I should be watching out for? (particularly with reference to the OCD) if anything?
