My horse got caught on the top of a gate around 4.5 weeks ago, fortunately the damage was only superficial cuts & swelling ect. He has been recuperating and apart from a few scabs seems fine now.
So I plan to get on him this weekend, I understand the normal fitness plans would include walking for several weeks however I wondered if anyone had any alternative ideas or tips for this period.
Walk is my bogey pace at the best of times (warming up not cooling off) as he can be quite naughty and distracted when he isn't focused on something and he bores quite easily so I wondered what I could try to keep him stimulated?
All ideas welcome.
