Fittening programme.......

I am getting a new horse on loan who has been off work for a little while.... It is through no fault of her own just the owner not having time...

I have worked in the past for event yards and helped fitten horses BUT was wondering if anybody had a link to an actual programe.....or something similiar???

If you go to the Endurance GB website there are links to a few competitors websites which are very comprehensive in their fittening information - taking right from the walking stage to interval training.

Consider what you actually want to do when the horse is fit and aim for that. I personally use a heart rate monitor that fits to the girth so I know exactly where my horse is. Also listen to the horse, the more slowly a horse is fittened the less chance of injury.
