fitting a dutch gag

after me posting about brake failure at XC, it was rightly pointed out to me that the dutch gag was sitting too low and thus ineffective. Does this look right?

high enough, but the top ring/cheekpiece ring should have a leather thong curb strap..then yes, its fitted correctly.
