...of antibiotics again. Oh joy

Good job I can spot a dribbly pee from twenty paces and I don't mind getting up at the arse-crack of dawn to chase after my dog with a plastic Chinese takeaway tray and a set of dipsticks....

May query diabetes due to results :(

Gaaaaaaaah.

Aw bugger, poor B. Just back from vets with more ab's for Buffy for her anal glands so I feel your pain. Take away containers are very useful aren't they, I took Murphs dropping in for a worm count in one the other day.:D

I could see it coming, was perhaps why I was so sensitive to yer woman's horse-sh!t last night. Hopefully can nip it in the bud this time and not let it get so aggressive.

THIS IS WHY I NEED TO WORK LONG HOURS SOMETIMES!!!!

And yes, those containers are fab. Must remember to chuck this morning's and not use it for leftovers :p

Poor B :(
Does stupid woman need a takeaway tray for anything? Make her a packed lunch as a peace offering?! :p :D

Bloody animals!

I can't fault vet though, the minute I spotted he was struggling I called and I was ordered to dip him and he would send out the antibitotics in the first post then gave me an action plan for the next five weeks and what tests he would be running following the end of the course. The other lot would have just said 'Ohhhh, we don't know, leave him for a few days and see how he goes'.

That is good, Ruby had a few infections in her bladder/urinary tract when she was a ickle puppy and my vets at that time just kept saying leave her for a few days etc so I changed after they did FA and the new ones were fantastic, sorted it out right away. If she ever needs any AB's now for anything I just call my vet (who happens to be incredibly hot :D) and he leaves them in reception for me to pick up that same day which saves me a fortune for the privilege of him just to look at her and say 'yep, she needs ABs!'. Its refreshing to meet good (down to earth) vets isn't it?!

Bad times! Hope he gets better soon.
Lucky you having faith in your vet though - Pads is back in at 3.00pm following his thorn in eye saga. 5 consults in 8 days and now she wants to sedate and dig around! GGRRR

Thanks, that's what the old lot were like, numerous visits for his itchyness, enough sedation to choke a donkey for a skin scraping, this chap had it pinpointed and sorted out in one consult.

I'm sorry to hear about this and it must add to your frustration having that tofu-chewing woman telling you that she understands your dogs better than you, because she works with infants.

I don't get it, if persons like her doesn't want us to force-feed them with stuffing meat down their throats, why do they feel it is acceptable for them to force-feed us with stuffing their ideas down our throats?

It is like that pathetic excuse of a streaker at crufts, only somewhat committed to the cause but unwilling to risk being caught for indecent exposure. If they want to stop breeding, why don't they focus their attention on puppy mills? But I strongly suspect that both the pathetic streaker and your tofu-chewing visitor are the sort of people who applauds that Pipa Gordon bought a puppy from a puppy mill or similar, (don't remember on which HHO post we discussed that if money exchange hands, it isn't saving but buying, but I have the link to the blog, My new puppy ).

Fingers crossed for Bodo. Some veterinarians is really worth their weight in gold, the only problem, is that I sometimes think our pets doesn't realise that we don't mean that literally.

If she works with infants at all, all I see is her sitting around all day telling other people what to do, wasting our heating oil and using all our bandwidth, none of which strikes me as 'work'.

That story makes me mad. Almost as mad as the newspaper ad I saw on another forum bearing 'Accredited Breeders' (WITH WHO?!) before listing nine breeds of puppy and their prices, all ready to go' as well as 'various cross-breeds'.

Yes, his condition made me even more upset than I would have been normally...and you're dead right, if only he was weeing liquid cash, haha!

Thanks for your thoughts peeps, like I say, hope I have caught it early this time.

He is. My (expensive) hero!!!

Great with the dog as well, B loves him.

Expensive would be one way of putting it ;) But really, the care they give them is so worth it. The nurses all do an amazing job too.

Always nice to have a vet which is good with the animals, my old vet was **** with them so glad to have found the one I use now.

Yeah, I am sure you heard/saw me ranting last year about the ones that muzzled him and slung him in a cage for four hours despite telling me to drop him off early, then had to give him enough sedation to choke a donkey to take a skin scraping because he was 'hyper' - he lies down for tummy tickles for G!!!

Geeeez I must have missed that post! How ridiculous :(

Poor B :( .

Silly Tikka got her paw stuck inbetween the fence boards earlier . She went to jump the gate and didn't get up enough slid back down and her paw got stuck . The screaming she did would have deafened you :S :S . Luckily enough Dams was there whilst I held her head up, Dams lifted her backend up and finally her paw was released . :( . A bit of a cut on her leg but not lame thank goodness .

See you in a few hours :D .
