Flaky Itchy Mane

Blimey my filly is giving me grief at the moment, she's a real hypocondriac ! she now has a flaky, itchy mane, when I looked right into the roots of the mane it has large flaky scales in it and she keeps wanting to scratch at it. There is none in her tail. Can anyone suggest anything to put on it to help ? thanks.

I used some of the Dry Oil Spray (green bootle - used to be Woodland Fresh?) from Avon on my mares mane in the summer - she'd hogged and it got dry and scaly, then she rubbed it. When I used the spray on it, it appeared to help and stop the itching. No flakiness either!!

a good wash in head and shoulders or hibi scrub and and even better rinse, and rinse again, and again! thn comb through with a fine comb to remove flakes. midges are still about!

polytar shampoo was recommended to me by my GP who is horsey give it a go i have some in my car jsut waiting on the weather to get a little better to cold at the moe.
fingers crossed for tomorrow...

give it a wash in tea tree shampoo and put a bit of oil in her feed!

I would try Camrosa shampoo to start with, their products are amazing!
