daisy was very silly tonight, having not been ridden for a week due to my ill health I tried to take her for a quiet hack round the farm and she jogged and pranced the whole way round. I took her back and put her in the manege because I didn't want her thinking that sort of behaviour was okay. She worked okay, not great in canter but then it is very boggy. As we were cooling down she stopped in a puddle and flapped one of her back legs about. Like when I'm trying to put travelling boots on and she decides she doesn't like the sensation so flaps her leg about trying to get it off. Would you assume this was just her being wierd in a puddle or would it indicate discomfort to you? I checked her leg when we got back and the front of that leg was a little warm but no obvious pain or swelling. I hosed it of to be on the safe side but wasn't sure whether to ride her tomorrow or let her rest
