Flappy elbow syndrome

The worst possible thing happened on Friday.....
I developed flappy elbow syndrome!! Not disimilar to Miss Funnell, I caught myself in the last stride into a coffin, saying go with my elbows!! I have NEVER done this before and I'm pretty sure it was me just encouraging her to take off where I dont quite trust that her and I are on the same stride pattern, particularly when we're a bit long.
Please someone help, is there a society I could join? FEA maybe??

Aside from that, my little girl is being so good and really impressed me xc schooling, jumped some bigger fences with few hitches. We have a Robert Pickles clinic tomorrow which should be interesting, I found him helpful with Boss so hopefully he can give us some pointers.

My mum used to make me ride with a stick threaded through my elbows and behind my back. Not sure how you'd give with the reins over a jump like that but you could always slip them!

Failing that try the PF fan club in the CR, plenty trying to copy her every move in there

If she's going for the LL look she will also need to work on drawing back her lower leg and making sure her toes point firmly towards the ground. Also on having some horses that have no desire whatsoever to go xc...

Hmm to find a horse like that I need major sponsorship, could prob manage the foot thing though- do you think it works best if you then stick really big spurs on so you can dig into the ribs in the process??

Hehe, probably does work better like that! I might be able to sort you out with a horse like that - £50k ok with you?! *runs round yard finding suitable creature whose owner is willing to sell for £500*

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

I HATE it when that happens - I remember once in a JO in a National class I was short through a double and flapped for a long stride and I actually felt myself blush as I knew I looked like a pony clubber LMAO!

So flapping elbows does not make you go faster or jump higher? damn it back to the drawing board for me.

That fact hasnt been proven yet, I mean we jumped through the coffin fine so who knows- think pony's expression was one of mild alarm though

Don't ever tell me it might help with take-off... I might have to take it up! Then again, if it was proven to help with grand slam winning, I think everyone would!
I watched a Robert Pickles lesson once, I thought he was very good! Have fun, I hope madam behaves!

I see birds do it every day, and no one jumps higher than them (ie flying) so don't knock it!!
