As the nights are drawing in I am looking into getting the collars that flash so I can see the dogs in the dark when they are being walked, can anyone recommend ones that are good and bright, are waterproof and don't pack up after a short time.
Thanks

I actually use the cheap armbands that you can buy in tescos for £1, think they are meant for cyclists but they adjust to fit all 3 of my dogs and have a velcro fastening (they wouldnt be strong enough to attach a lead to). I probably use 2 per dog per winter but they can be set to flash or stay on and show up well when my spangles are running loose in the field in the dark. For a total of £6 they do the job.

I've invested in a couple of these for my dogs as we like to walk to the local for a meal once a week and have to walk along a lane for a few hundred yards.

I can't vouch for their durability as I only had them a few weeks. But they are very bright and you can either have them on constantly or flashing. They have been brilliant for late night garden/field visits for our black lab puppy. We have little external lighting and are quite remote and I can see exactly where she is with her one on.

Last year I got some flashing LED lights on keyring attachments for Henry's collar from a petrol station, and they are brilliant. He has a flashing collar but it is pathetic - you can see the LEDs for miles though. I tend to put his harness on him and attach the light to the rings at the back as then it doesn't vanish under his chin, and I put a cat bell on him too.:)

They are on here http://www.uxsight.com/category/73340/flashlight-key-chains.html called the Dog Night Safety Light Flasher:)

Thanks for your replies, will look in Tescos, tho they are large dogs so armbands may not go round their necks. The glow collars look good, I have had the tag type before, but you can't see them when they are going away from you when on collars.
