Following on from the hi viz thread recently. Would you put this on your horse?

I used to put those pin on flashing lights on my horses tail guards in winter. People laughed, but at least they saw me

Well his lordship has his headlight for night riding in winter so yes I guess I would if it helps keep us safe, I also wear a red neon flashing reflective top.

Probably not...........full set of hi viz is used, boots, sheet, martingale & tabard, but that's for daytime riding. There is no way mine get hacked out in darkness. Hacking can be dangerous enough in daylight so I think you are courting trouble to ride out at twilight or night.

Had him 5 years, go out in pitch black when moon not out, lights up where he looks, never had a problem in the last 4 years, he's good as gold, friends horse fine as well, if it's a full moon we can still have a steady canter

When I bought my first donkey I was told how the previous owner had driven her to the pub most evenings. he would invariably leave at closing time and it would be dark, so the owner would get out a torch, tuck it into her browband then drive home
