Flat backed pony in need of a new saddle

So does anyone have either of the following and a flat backed horse?
- Wintec 500 Wide AP/GP saddle (the one with the 4 girth straps designed for wider horses)
-Shires Hi lite
- treeless saddle

Opinions/advice welcome
 
We have a wintec VSD wide/cob (has 4 straps), not sure if its the 500, it is the latest shape one. Very good fit for our large percheron x cob type horse with a white gullet, but she wasn't truly flat backed. It now fits a 3/4 ID with a red gullet (I think).

I have a properly flat backed cob and have a hoop tree saddle.

Awesome, so they're rather versatile then? would you recommend them?
 
I had a wintec wide for my flat backed New Forest X cob - bought brand new from the shop. I took it back after trying it a few times. It perched on top, slipped badly and was just awful to ride in, despite being professionally fitted. I hated it.
I now have an Ideal Working Hunter and it's great - bought second hand. When she is fully grown up, I intend to get her the Ideal H&C.

I see... I guess it mainly depends on the pony and personal preference. Is your ideal WH adjustable?

No - it was bought from ebay and currently fits well. My saddler is prepared to stretch the tree when necessary but he will only do this once. when she outgrows it, then I will have to get her a new one. If you want an adjustable, maybe consider a Thorowgood or Kent and Masters cob saddle?

I had a wintec wide, it came with my highland. Hated it....sold it on.
He's now got a thorowgood pony club.....love it.
I've also just had a thorowgood t4 cob adjustable fitted to my ever changing Arab. I didn't want to like it cos he's got a lovely leather one, but actually I do.
It stays in place and puts me in a really good position.
So....thorowgood cob adjustable gets my vote:)
 
Ive got a very flat backed Appaloosa, (table springs to mind) hes also low withered, tried a Wintec with a wide gullet... no good, also tried friends Thorowgood T4 (not the cob one) that was not bad but was a bit narrow, Bates no good either, also tried 5 others on him, but they all moved on his back

now I just got a FlezEE this week, and its the first that sits on his back properly, no movement, also been naughty and bought a Thorowgood cob T4 which should come this week..

Wintecs seem to be banana shaped & don't sit on flat backed horses.
On husbands flat backed no wither conny 1st saddler fitted a thorowgood t4 with a non slip numnah & it still slipped.
Finally got native pony saddle company fitter out & now have a fab saddle that doesn't move & the horse goes brilliantly in.
