If i loosen my contact on my horses mouth and hold my hands a bit lower (not like washing linesand not my hands round my ankles). . .if i then really push him on to be more forward would this help him to work long and low under saddle?

By working him forward into a steady contact, will he work rounder and steady up. . .I would just love a bit more of a softer outline when he is ridden

He has worked like this a few times for me, but since changing his bit i have found it harder to achieve this. . .Any one got any tips?

Thanks

Opening your hands and lowering them should be a signal for your horse to work lower and longer, but the main impulsion has to come from your seat and legs. Try keeping your thumbs on top and pointing them towards the horse's ears, that might help.
