Can fleabitten greys generally be entered into coloured classes at low-level shows? Have done it before but I'm not sure if it would be the case everywhere.
Not normally, occasionally local shows do other colours classses that include dun, roan, palomino etc which may possibly allow flea bitten but normally coloured classes are for piebald / skewbald unless specified.
No! They are grey not coloured! I have seen someone enter one in a 2 tone class based on the fact that their passport said grey/roan. Totally wrong! Grey is grey fleabitten or not.
Ok no problem, thanks for the responses. There's a class right after coloured for bays/greys/chestnuts/blacks so I'll do that instead. And I would assume I can enter an Anglo-Arab into the Part Breds class right? I only did my first show last month so this is all still new to me
Yup the bay/grey/chestnut class is the one for you. As is part bred! Being an Anglo I expect you horse is more like a riding horse than a hunter or hack so that is another class you can do. Veterans are 15yo upwards and open to any horse or pony regardless of colour or type.
