I have sprayed where ever cats roam, carpets, soft furnishings etc. Both cats have had frontline pipettes on back of neck more regularly than recommended but just cannot get rid of fleas, My boy skips across room, wants to get off the ground, even if it's a hard wood floor. Constant scratching and licking.
any suggestions for a decent flea spray for the home and treatment for cats.

Thanks

Have you tried Indorex for the carpet, furnishings etc?. I think you need to speak to your Vet as Frontline isn't working on your cats. I believe there is an injection they can have.

indorex spray for house-hoover really well first to liven up the fleasand get them out and about then follow the instructions.

use advocate/stronghold for the cats plus a capstar tablet that will kill all the live fleas that bite the cat for a 24hr period but has no lasting effect.

both advocate and stronghold are prescription only medications but do work very effectively, there is a known resistance to frontline

I've a friend whose a veterinary nurse and she says that the fleas are getting immune to frontline. I got a different treatment last time called Activyl . I've got two very different sized cats so ended up costing me ££££££s ! Worth it though as I hate fleas and I've been lucky they've not been infected very often.

Yep your problem is the frontline..fleas became immune a while back...best off with stronghold and a good house hold spray. I use Indorex Household Insecticide Spray or stay kill. Good spring clean, hoover, mop, wash bedding (pet and human) and they will soon go. Remember fleas dont live on the pet, they only jump on to feed, they live in the carpets and the furniture. Throughout the year the eggs have been waiting for the central heating to be put on to hatch...hey presto fleas by the trillions...good luck..i'm off to buy some house hold spray now, you have reminded me!
