Is it just mine that doesn't seem to help my boy dry quickly? I have found that if I rinse him off and put the cooler on the bits of him not covered by the cooler are always dry much quicker than the bits under the cooler. Is this normal (you could only get string vest coolers when I used to ride) or is it the brand - Rhinegold???? I had a look at a Thermatex one but at £85 it was more than I could justify

I LOVE my Weatherbeeta fleeces (yes I have many!), they are warm enough for autumn/ spring, and cool enough for those slightly breezy summer days when I've bathed my horse. They dry her really quickly too, in fact quicker than my Thermatex does (although obviously not as warm so I tend to use my Thermatex in the winter instead). Only £20-25 as well so not nearly as expensive as a Thermatex!

I'm not a weatherbeeta fan, but have a little fleece whih in reality is too big for ponio but I can't bear to part with it as it's so good at drying him off. I think I paid about 20 pounds for it, and am getting another for winter as they're fab under rugs, and wash up really really well.

Fleeces arnt for drying horses off... you really need to thrash under a fleece or sweat rug to get in to work.. they just keep the horse that bit warmer and if it is warm ur better laving them without.
Now thermatex rugs are amazing at drying horses

I have a fantastic cheap waffle cooler (Robinsons own brand I think), it dries springy off really quickly and you can see the moisture sitting on top of the rug.

Thanks for all your replies. I will look at the Wetherbeeta ones - and perhaps sell a few more bits on ebay to pay for it!

I have a weatherbeeta one and a thermatex. TBH, I find the thermatex too hot! I had been using it for travelling on cooler days but my boy has started to come out of the box sweating under it! I have used both after bathing etc. but to be honest, havent noticed a huge difference in drying between them which Im disappointed about as I expected the thermatex to be amazing!
