Fleece or waffle rug?

Which is better for drying a horse after a bath? A fleece type cooler or a waffle? I've got a waffle but it's huge so need a new one. There seems to be a lot of fleeces that claim to be good for wicking away sweat but would they so the same for drying a wet horse? I feel very dumb haha.

I use Thermatex - light weight in the warmer months and regular in the colder months.

I've never found fleece all that good for drying so tend to stick with waffle.

Waffle, fleeces tend to absorb the moisture, waffle allows it to evaporate

If you have a good quality wicking fleece its quicker - you can actually see the moisture beading on the surface. But cheaper ones won't do it as well.
