Well, I tried the new Flexigirth this morning and have to say I am pretty disappointed. I had to do it up just as tightly as 'normal' and it still felt less secure when I mounted. Considering the promo video (http://www.flexiworksequine.co.uk/DemoVideo) shows a 15 stone bloke bouncing up and down in the stirrup without the saddle moving.... I'm wondering what's up with my tack!!!! And, NO! I don't weigh more than 15 stone (well, not quite :D)

Crikey, what a horrid advert!!!
The horse he is bouncing on looks a tb type so might have withers you could hang a house off lol! Something with less wither, well muscled and perhaps a broader flatter back will always have more side to side movement if forced then a high narrow withered horse.
Assume you've done the usual saddle checks? If it was reflocked a while ago then a tinker with the flocking could be in order if it has settled, that could help. Does your saddle have a point strap?

I fit really wide flat horses and ponies as the bulk of my business and have only seen one being used, and my girth worked just as well on that horse, and this was a TB type. We use only wide soft padded Atherstone girths with very strong elastic and roller buckles at both ends, to our own design. Not met anything else yet that works as well for the vast majority of horses and ponies.
