Flexi stirrups

After idiot boy ripped his jods yet again on his bloody safety stirrups (he catches them on the hook for the peacock band when dismounting

) I told him I'd get him new stirrups a part of his birthday pressie (He's 18 in Fabuary) so... I have system4 ones and bow balance ones, great, I'd give a a set..except mine are 4.5" and he needs 5"

I don't want to spend quite so much as the sprenger ones as I've already bought a Musto snug & a joules saddlecloth for him so what is there available for say £45 or less?

Ive got the new safety sprenger stirrups. bought them for £90 from isc in essex. extortionate price cant believe i spent that on bloody stirrups! but they are fab. i do xc, ht, mock hunting etc so having the safety shape is just to put my mind at ease. before these i had the cheapy copy of the original sprengers they were £25 from shires. they were fab and have lasted me years.

i cant live without my flexi stirrups they save my ankles and knees from a world of pain and discomfort

Why not try good old Ebay for a second hand pair ?

I got the funnel ones from ebay after borrowing a friends sprengers and can honestly say I found no difference - until I lent them to a girl at work who took voluntary redundancy while I was on holiday 8 months ago and hasn't returned any of my calls to get them back

Bit over your budget at £55 but Thorowgood are doing 6way flex irons now. Dont know if you might find them cheaper on the net somewhere. Not keen on the Shires copies from a safety point of view, they have been known to collapse and trap feet in them, will be getting rid of mine after hearing that.
