Does anyone use a flexineb nebuliser regularly for maintenance for horses with respiratory issues?

Just wondered how often people are using it with just saline or with essential oils?

Following as my vet has recommended one for my boy. They are hideously expensive and the insurance won’t cover it so would like some more information before I commit!

I have had a flexineb for the last 3 years due to J's COPD, his main trigger is pollen. I've found it brilliant, I've used a babyhaler before and find the flexineb much easier to use ( I cross tie and do jobs whilst it's on) the drugs work out cheaper and I believe as the drugs are droplets they are absorbed better. J was happy in it from the start although I introduced all the bits separately, I think as it's silent they don't react like they do to a 'puff' of an inhaler.

We use 50:50 saline steroid mix, once a day during peak pollen times and every other day once stabilsed for the rest of the time he needs it.

My insurance paid for it but having used it I would buy one myself if I needed to.
