Flexiride surface... any good??

Our yard is replacing its woodchip surface for a better one.. this is the current front runner so any experience of it please good or bad!

The school is an indoor with a concrete footing (was built in the centre of a barn. The school is used fairly regularly for everything inc jumping up to approx 130cm (one or two fences as too small for anymore than that), lunging, loose schooling (inc over fences) and general flatwork.

we are after a dust free, low maintainance, cost effective solution.... if anyone has anything they rate more highly.

we are going to view the surface in place at a local yard probably at the weekend but in the meantime any Critique of the flexride surface welcome.

We've just had it put down. Seems very nice will tell more when weather has perked up

was a right pain to put down tho
 
had a school put in at work with this it gets very heavy use. seems good needed a lot of water for it to settle as was very deep (had it mixed with sand) took about 6 weeks to settle, but seems very good only been using for last two months and not yet started using it for jumping. it has been freezing in the recent weather but it was the sand that was freezing just had to keep it well harrowed to try and keep it well mixed.but ours is ourdoors. but overall good
 
Thanks guys... what made it a pain to put down... ?
we are having it on its own as we will be removing the current surface completly. so mixing it in wont be an issue.

Have mine with sand, not mixed, tho, flexiride is supposed to sit on top of the sand. Has been down for over 4 years now and mixed a little bit but comes back to the top with rain.
holds the water, so does not get too deep/dry in the summer and only freezes at about -5 C (the sand freezes underneath it tho).
did try one school that didn't have sand under it and didn't like it at all! It didn't ride nearly half as well so I wouldn't go for that.
Levelling it can be an issue at first as it's quite big pieces but they do break down eventually and the surface doesn't cut up too badly at all.
 
right thanks... will pass on the unmixed feedback then! im not 100% if its being put in with something else aswell.. but to be honest our current surface (although started as woodchip) is now just dust really... so most things would be better than that! think the school we are going to see is just flexiride so will see what that looks like at the weekend... ultimaly its the YMs decision so will tell her what peopl have said! x
