Flies!!

I have a chestnut mare who gets really bothered by the flies, she gets really runny eyes. However she hates wearing fly fringes, even the fly angle ones without a head collar and she really really doesnt like the fly masks. Even with these on her eyes still run. Keeping her in isn't an option cause she would jump out of her stable. Any suggestions??

i KNOW you have said she doesnt like fly masks but my mare was very similar- wouldnt keep one on etc- I then did some reaserch and bought a crusador full face. It hasnt budged and she is LOADS happier- i got the one without ears ( she wouldnt tolerate that!) but with a full face- goes all the way down her nose and is very secure.It stops sunburn on noses too which is helpful for me as she is a coloured.
I got mine on ebay for about 25 pounds.It has been ranked by the US as the best mask for the last 3 or 4 years/Well worth a try-
I never thought mine would keep it on but she does with this and is much happier!"

i had that origianly for her and she really didnt like it. shes really really sensitive about her face, she has 2 b sedated twice just 2 get the gag in her mouth to do her teeth!!
she will wear them but itches her face constantly and then when it is taken off has really funny eyes and just constantly itches her face.
do you think it could just cuase becuase shes so sensitive around her chin and jaw??
