well ive always said that its when im not there that all hell breaks loose
my friend helen who I ride with, was up at the yard today, and was kicked and knocked out by one of the horses
she was catching him (big coloured cob huge feet
on livery) and hes always a big softy, but he spun round kicked her, and caught her on the side, the force knocked her to the ground and she was knocked out
she was due to ride him up from the field (at far end of village) and whole thing takes 45 mins longer if hard to catch, so she wasnt found till YO went looking for her almost 2 hours later
bearing in mind we have had snow
so glad shes ok, just bruised etc, winded, but thankfully he didnt get her head
needless to say we shall all be wearing hats from now on when catching as Horace is usually the softest cob
