Today Flodden went to the National Terrier Show in Stafford. His first championship show so in with the big boys. He is also 1 year and 5 days old so out of Puppies. he got a second in the Junior Dog and we beat a dog that has beaten us everytime we have come up against it so very very pleased with Flodden. Now I just need to persuade him that only eating 3 days a week is not clever and that standing on 3 legs on the table does not help the judge. Have now got new motivation for showing :)

:D Yaaaaaayy! Well done, Flodden! :D

I bought Flodden when Bosworth my lovely old lurcher died last May. I phoned up about him the same day I had Boz put to sleep and collected him 4 days later. I never intended showing him. I had a bedlington whippet bitch Poppy and knew I did not want another lurcher, but I knew I needed to get another dog immediately to help fill the enormous gap left by Bosworth. Poppy also was in mourning so a pup was going to help her. Flodden was never going to be a show dog, but then things changed i had to make the decision about whether or not to neuter. I took him to see a bedlington expert and was told he was a cracking pup. So I decided to keep him entire and show him. If he is ok he will retain his jewels, if he is no good then he looses two close friends :) So far his friends are remaining till at least March next year.

Congratulations Flodden what a star, Crufts 2013 bring it on.

Bosworth I do sympathise as regards that Flodden dosnt eat much our pup is incredibley fussy and sometimes she misses a meal because she dosnt fancy it. But take her out and she will fill up on rabbit currants:eek:

Thank you everyone, we are finally back home, been on a bit of a national tour, went to Staffordshire show via friends in Worcestershire, my parents in derby for a couple of nights and a friend in Warwickshire last night. I took Flodden to see his breeder in Bristol today on the way home an met his mum, grandma an his litter sister as well. It was lovely to see them all, a brilliant weekend made all the better by his Crufts qualification
