Does anyone know how high the poles should be which the floodlights will be fitted on for a arena?

I was given an info pack from a very good floodlight company that I would need 12 x 250w Son-t floodlights (for a 60 x 40 arena) and that they should be fitted on 16 foot high poles. BUT then they have given me a diagram that says 16 foot or 21 foot high

Anyone know how high they should be?

Thanks x

Ours are 16ft mounted on cut down telegraph poles. If you have them too high you get alot of light pollution spreading around and with ours next to a road we couldn't do that.
Not too low though at like K says they blind your for one and you get alot of shadows cast.

Alot depends on what you are doing in there - jumping obv requires more light.

We have metal halide lamps as they give off white light and don't blow as much as halogen (halogen doesn't like alot of movement) - can provide you with ebay shop name we got them nearly £100 cheaper than manufacturers? PM me if you want any more info

Most of the lighting comps will do you light spread maps mesured in lux (1 Lux = 1 1 candle power) with different height and angulations if you request them.
