Took my box for it's plate today, a marathon drive through country lanes for an hour and threequarters to South Molton as Exeter have no spaces for three months, and after I broke down en route last week they can't fit me in and charged me £49 to boot..
Nice chaps at SM and when I asked if they would be especially vigilant re the floor they invited me to don a hard hat and look for myself by their inspection pit.
I was pleased to see the floor although wooden sounds damned thick when whacked with a hammer and is in perfect condition.
The only sign of anything is it looked slightly wet where a horse would wee, there are drainage holes but I suppose it doesn't all drain away.
Apart from advising I need a new rubber on the brake pedal and some welding under the seats, it passed fine, so will get those done and drive it with confidence.
I always worried about the flooring after reading the horror stories of horses falling through, but mine looks tough enough at the moment.
Kept an eye out for Miss de Meena and Giles both of whom live near there (Me, run him over, never !) but didn't spot either...

I too am paranoid about the floor in my lorry and spend much time sealing areas where i cant pull up the mats.

Is yours double boarded or single? Read in H&H a couple of weeks ago that single is inadvisable, but mine was replaced by a coach builder and is single, although very thick.
