Priceless! She's lovely BTW. Congratulations again.

Congratulations again and in comparison with you, I can assure you I must look like somebody who just walked past with my bitches on the street, saw that it was a dog show and decided to participate.

Fortunately I'm a computer numpty and don't have any photos to prove it, now I only must remind myself about never allowing my nephew and his mobile phone camera anywhere near a dog show that I'm participating at.

Onwards and upwards Flora!

She is gorgeous, well done. How cool that a viszla got BIS too.
can i make a wee suggestion, ignore me if you want. see if you take a wee step back, and bring your bait hand down a wee tad, she will stretch her neck out in front of her rather than look up the way. It will just make her lines look better and show off her lovely head planes a bit better. Like i say, just a wee suggestion.

PMSL at you dropping the rosette and her just standing there! But I can assure you I looked far worse, Ghillie the IWS was looking at me as if I had two heads and kept curling away from me everytime I tried to stack him properly, so he ended up stood in front of the judge with a humpy back, back legs right underneath him and eyeballing me like he'd never seen me before! :o Oh well, I could do the running bit alright and didn't fall flat on my face :D

She really is a pretty girly, well done again :D

Oh thats brilliant! I have a Vizzy, shes related to the best in show winner its her great grandad. I would love to of had a go at showing her but i doubt id get her that obedient! lol!

Thanks everyone, the second photo made me laugh again when I looked this morning, she is giving me a look out of the corner of her eye like 'Oh FFS woman!'' lol
Thanks for the tips chestnuttymare, I'm not sure if you are relating it to the first pic but we aren't actually showing in that pic we are just hanging out in the line up! I'm just keeping her attention with the bait to stop her from getting bored and noisy in the ring, I don't stack using bait. :)

Great pics, she is definitely humouring you. Do all breeds get rosettes now? In the dim and distant past when we showed in the breed ring at Crufts we only got a grotty bit of card. :( Glad you clarified about the bait, didn't think they were shown like that.

I think all breeds do MM yea, I saw 1st to 3rd rossettes around most breed benches. Most champ shows still only give prize cards and no rossettes, it's nice to get a rossette at a big show. The crufts prize cards are quite unique though, they are hugggee...and square/diamond  lol
No they certainly aren't shown like that! I know shes in a nice position in that pic (she tries to stand like that all the time from getting in the ring because she knows where her legs should be) so its an easy mistake for Chestnuttymare to make. They are traditionally shown in a hard stack like most guindog breeds.

If you dont mind me asking how do you manage to egt them so well behaved? Esp on a lead, is it from day dot with training etc? I could only dream of my vizzy leading like that!- could a achieve it still or have i no chance! LOl! Sorry to hijack the post!

Um it's a bit of both to be honest, how old is your dog? Contrary to popular belief you can teach old dogs new tricks, but it is easier if they have youth on their side ;) Where do you live? I am always happy to help out with problem Vizzies if I can, if you are miles away I may be able to put you in touch with someone to help. Do you have the support of your breeder? To be honest the best behaved vizslas generally have a bit of gundog training under their belts even if they don't work. However, I show trained Flora way before we started gundog training so I can't credit all her ring obedience from the gundog training, although it has helped in giving her more patience etc. They are very easy to train once you know how their minds work though. The more time you put in the better they will become, obviously loads of exercise to squash the hyperness a bit helps alot as well!
Have you ever done any obedience classes or anything with yours? To be fair I have heard of lots of vizslas getting kicked out of puppy training classes or not really progressing in them because they are a bit more unique to train than your average family pet! Can she sit, walk to heel etc?

She is such a lovely girl, love that second pic LOL

I was watching the Weimys wondering if Herman would fit in, but had visions of us crashing though the chairs and after someones icecream :o LOL

(He does have manners, as do I, it's just that if there's chaos, it's generally assumed he and I are part of it somewhere....even if we haven't caused it lol)

Well done, I'm so pleased for you - have you stopped grinning yet?
