Florimell's recall works from abroad too...

A bit of a pointless post, but... I am in Warendorf and Florimell is in Italy with Ben, we were talking on Skype -- Florimell was in the kitchen and Ben was in the library. I just tried to call Florimell through Skype and apparently, as soon as she heard her name and 'here', she left whatever she was doing in the kitchen and ran to the library and looked a bit confused that I wasn't there

She has always had a fab recall response (unlike the two big dogs, unfortunately) and we have never known her not to come back when called (even when the other two are happily choosing to totally ignore us), but a recall through Skype surely takes it to a whole new level

I have done that down the telephone before, called one of mine and they have looked around wondering where I was - like you, I felt a bit mean though

Couldnt you get Florimell a pet passport, then she could come to Germany with you

(I know it isnt as easy as that really though...)

Yes, she has been to Germany many times already!! She was here over Christmas, she even rode Rauti

It's just impossible these weeks, because I am in the UK every single Tuesday

No sorry I shall stop being unhelpful here, she is so sweet I would miss her like mad as you obviously do

I really think it would be too complicated to have her every single week, she could only go by ferry (as no low-cost plane company accepts dogs into the UK) and, although I am commuting by ferry most weeks, I do fly every now and then... I do want her to go to England once, this year, but it just can't happen every week. Plus I teach between 6 to 8 hours on a Tuesday, and I really cannot take her to class with me

so it would be a nightmare for her.

There are some good boarding kennels here in Warendorf but it would be so selfish of me to leave her there every week. It goes without saying that she is much happier at home with OH
