How long after have the flu and tetanus jabs can you ride? I never used to ride my old girl much so never really effected me but I got my new boy in work and dont want him having too much time off

We give Murphy a couple of days off, but he had a bad reaction in the past to his vacc. I think generally you would probably be okay to ride after 24 hours as long as horse is showing no ill effects.

We've always carried on as normal as we've never had any adverse reaction to the jab.Vet has never advised having time of either.

Just wondering as people were saying yesterday you should give them a rest after the jab for a day or two?? Thanks for replys will now go ride the boy

I think all vets have said to me is not to get them sweaty the same day as their jab, so a gentle ride shouldn't be a problem.
