Please reassure me, or I will rebook appointment!

My horse had his flu jab last year on 18/12/09 and I have booked for this year on 17/12/10.

Is this OK, or will I get thrown out of any Riding Club competitions I want to do? I could re-book any day from Monday 13th, but the date is creeping forward year by year. |It used to be in January.

The receptionist at the vets didn't seem to be 100% confident it was right, and it is up to the client after all.

it's absolutely fine as long as you get it done within 365 days of the last one. i would never cut it that fine though just in case horse was unwell or something that day or it snowed and the vet couldn't get there or any other little thing that could happen.

Yes, I was thinking it might not be such a good idea to leave it to the last possible day, so I think I will bring it forward a day or two.

Thanks.

That is absolutely fine, but as others say leaves little room for weather error!!!

The wording is On or before 365 day for the Jockey Club regs, but I believe the BHS prefer the vaccs to be WITHIN the 365d, the the day before is best.
