Does horse need to rest for a day or so after a flu jab?

Also he had his back checked yesterday and nothing wrong at all. Got to find another reason for his dislike of rugs and saddle!!

Not any more, just avoid getting horse too hot.

I personally would not work a horse after a jab, I didnt work my mare after hers. I think you could lightly ride as long as they dont sweat up and are clipped on the area of the jab. Not worth risking it IMO.

Also when I had my tetanus jab my arm ached so I wonder if horses ache too.

Nope you can ride straight after as long as you don't get them hot and sweaty. Good news about his back!

I ride mine to the vets for his vaccinations....im sure if there was a problem with this they wouldnt let me
