Thumper was Flu jabbed today, and I stupidly forgot to ask my vet if it's ok to start him on a 5 day gaurd course of worming.

Give him a few days.
I was in a similar predicament when mine had his flu and tet and was also due for tapeworm. Vet advised to give 48 hours. I gave him a week as he is a wuss and prone to colic.
