hi, just wondering as i have never been around when its happened.. i know the vet will tell me all, but need to plan my day tomorrow as i have a lot to fit in.. .. are they ok to ride straight after, are they stiff?? where is the jab done? ,.. thanks for any info x

Jab is done in the neck, I never ride that day as you are advised not to sweat up the site for the following 24 hrs or so so I just plan in a rest day then.

my horse had his jabs a couple of weeks ago. I rode straight after his jabs. The vet okayed it,but said I must make it a gentle ride and not allow him to get sweaty at all. He was fine and never had any problems from being ridden immediately either.

I have ridden on the morning before but my vet always says not to ride straight after and to only have a gentle hack the next day.... No sweating... :o

Depends on how your horse reacts.
Most are fine to just be gently exercised as long as they don't sweat.
My mare has a reaction and is very dopey for a few days so she needs about 5-7 days off after a jab.
Each horse is different.
